WHY I CREATED FITNESS4EVER
When I graduated, my first four years as a trainer were mostly with high-performance athletes and clients focused on aesthetics, ages 18 to 40. Over time, more and more adults 60+ started training with me, and I got to see what it meant to them: a better quality of life, more confidence, more independence, and a warmth and joy I hadn’t expected.
That changed my career. I kept studying and specializing in this age group, and for the past 7 years, about 90% of my clients have been 60+. Fitness4Ever is how I do this work my way: personal, safe, step by step, and with plenty of laughs.
MY BACKGROUND
I have been a personal trainer for 13 years. I hold a degree in Physical Education from Brazil, a postgraduate degree in training and rehabilitation, and a master’s degree in biomedical engineering with a focus on biomechanics. That last one means I pay close attention to how your body moves, and to doing every exercise safely.
Before founding Fitness4Ever, I worked at UFRJ, the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, in research and in the rehabilitation of patients. I then spent 4 years as an in-home and gym personal trainer in California, including UFC Gym and Gymguyz, and I’ve been training clients in Arizona for the past 3 years.
I also know training from the athlete’s side. I played college volleyball on a sports scholarship, coached under-16 volleyball teams in Brazil, and coached a high school varsity team in San Jose, California, for 2 years. I’m also a former competitive bodybuilder and a 2-time Arizona state champion. I know what it takes to train hard, and what it takes to train smart.
Beyond the gym: I once lived in a motorhome with my wife for a year, visiting more than 42 states and teaching online along the way.
